35% including w/s. 20%rw. The only way to go. clean, not to ricey. And tinting windows is not hard.

The purple tint you see around is like 10 yrs. old. Since then they have changed the dyes in it and now all tint will never turn purple.

But dont you think 35% all around but 20% on the rear window is kinda weird looking. Cant you tell the difference between tint darkness??

I have 5% all around. I had 35% and 20% on my last car and wished I had gone darker. My car is black with charcoal leather interior so that is part reason for the 5% tint, you would be amazed and how much cooler it keeps the interior. Also the windshield 6 inch tint on the top looks lame. I always see ricers with it but no domestics around here and I hope it stays that way. 5% doesnt look ricey either like that other dude said. Not trying to start anything its just personal opinions. I have had many comments from a wide variety of people on my car and they have always said something good about my tint and said that they wished they had it. Its up to you what you do but I think that if you only get 35% you may regret spending the money for how little it tints it. On the other hand you may really like the not so dark look but once again its just personal opinions. I think that black cars look really good with dark windows so I went all the way. There is my 2 cents again and just do what you think will be the best.

Well all i could consider is 35 or 20% tint, because in VA 5% is way too dark! But thanks for the input!

No problem for the input. Im sure 35 or 20 would look good on your car. I am just a fan of darker tint and think you should go with the 20. Completely up to you. There is a website that allows you to look at what a car would look like with different %'s of tint. I will try and find the site and post it on here if you want it.

I've got 30% on the sides and 15% on the back. You definately should go darker than 35% on the back window. Cops have a way to measure your tint on the side windows, but they can't measure the tint on your back window, so tint to your heart's content. For the side windows, they make you roll you window part way down, and then they slide a meter over the top of the glass that can detect how much light can pass through. They obviously can't use this method on the back window (or back seat windows since they don't roll down), so don't worry about the legal limits on those ones. You'll like the darker rear window on hot days! Not to mention it looks very sweet...

I really wish I would have went darker but like I said before, they actually do get you for it around here. The two different shades of tint does not look bad at all. i was unsure til I saw it then I thought it looked great. Honestly it is up to what you want to do personally. 35% is dark but not so dark that you have probs at night if you are someone who ca not see well. I may end up changing mine down the road if I get a little money and feel like doing it again. But no, the two different tints do not look bad. I do not like the strip across the front of the car. I dunno, just personal opinion but I do not like the way it looks. The dot matrix up there is enough anyways and it would look crappy to have tint over that in the front. So do want ever you like. You really need to see it in person. Ask someone what they have and see what it loks like from inside and out if you want a good personal opinion on it.

MO only allows 35% on the front two windows but there is no limit on the back windows. The only reason I risk getting a ticket is because most of the time they dont say anything and if they do they either give you a warning or just tell you to go get it takin off. I have troubles seeing out of it at night but I just roll my windows down. Makle sure you go dark enough or you will be mad at yourself. Goodluck.

What do you guys think, the white top on my car is new and I'm going to get it painted black sometime in the near future. How do you think it would look tinted?

Has anyone seen the reflective window tinting? I've seen some cars around where I live that have a mirror look to the windows. Anyone actually have that on their Mustang and care to share?

Hey Atlanticblue99... Starting june 1 you will be ticketed like a beootch. GA is getting a law that pretty much says if you have a car and its tinted more than 35% on the sides they are going to bust you. My brother had 5% on all sides and he got pulled over by a state patrol just because of the tint, not for speeding or improper lane change, just tint. And that was before the new law. That law also implies to anyone who is just driving thru GA, you dont have to be a resident of GA to get a ticket. It sucks

Im having trouble with this because i have got pulled over for having something illegal on my car before and i had to pay a $70 ticket or so as well and he told me to get it taken off too. And then i have my mustang now and im not getting plled for something again, and its $200 for the tint and i dont wanna get pulled and then have to repay to get it back to normal.
