Default Rear glass shattered

That about says it. Any recommendations for replacement manufacturers? How much should professional installation cost? How hard to do it myself?
Thanks.

if its a 93 lx like your name states lol umm suggest trying a local body shop and Junkyard hunting for the back glass if possbile if your trying to save cash, Did that with the old mini van for a window and it worked paided 5 bucks for glass and installed it myself a guy wnted 150 pssh **** that >.>

But yea it Can get pricey but Try the junk yards to see if they have a intact rear glass but its hard....

If anything else Try local glass shops for automotive look em up through google and stuff

To give you a easy figure the Big glass on the van on the sliding door broke they wanted 150 for install and glass i think

So shouldn't be more than 150 i think.

i have always heard good things about haartz tops. how old is your top? because you might be better off just having the whole top replaced instead of the back window section. if you have an older top, then the colors arent going to match up. and when i was getting mine done, i got quotes from about 700-1000 top+install. i could buy the whole top for about 450, so i figured it couldnt be worth the extra 3-400 to have someone else put it on. after replacing it, i would have much rather paid someone. it takes alot of time and PATIENCE(which i dont have much of).

You can't just change the glass....you have to change the back part of the top. Easier to have a shop do it for you. I have changed a top twice, once on mine anda second time for a friend that offererd 200 for me to do it. Firest time on mine I think it took me about 2 weeks cause I had to replace the pistons for the top cause mine were leakin also.....Probably would of ben faster If I didn't wait for the parts for the pistons. the second time I did it took me about 2 days. You wil need a good HD stapler you can pick up at a home depot or a Lowes, and a bunch of staples. I don't remember the size I used think they were either 1/8or 1/3 or 1/4. If you plan on doing it just get several sizes up to 2/3's to be safe and return what you don't need and just tell them you got the wrong ones and didnt realize it till you got home. when you take off the old top make not of the lenths and have the new one near by laying the old next to it for the size area to strech for the back window. Back window part is the hardest and most easiest to screw up.

So If you don't want to do it again best bet is to have someone who has done it before if you arent ever planing to do it again. Also your are better off replacing the whole thing vs just the back part. That way you don't have a 2 tone top.

Thanks for all the info.

I wound up dropping it off on Friday to have the whole top replaced. I'm at $840 including the cables at the drip edge.

I can't wait around for me to do it, and if it leaks I want to just take it back.

Thanks again.
