Default Drag Radials

Hey guys I think im going to invest in some drag radials for the track/street. I think im going to go with Nitto 555rs. I have 17x9 wheels on there now with 245/45/r17 Dunlop SP Sport5000s. What size radialswould you guys suggest for my wheels? The same size (245/45/R17)? Or the 275/40/R17? Any suggestions/tips would be appreciated. Here they are.

Any other places I should check for better prices?

Default RE: Drag Radials

DR's are generally higher profile and lots of contact patch so the 275/40/17' seem the better way to go. The 245's are only slightly smaller diameter, but a good deal wider (over 1') so I would think a good choice. They are lower profile, but very nearly the same sidewall hight.

Do you plan on getting a second set of rear wheels? I would recommend getting a pair of 15' wheels and installing the 275/60's (Nitto #180-300) on them so you can quickly and easily swop back and forth.

No they are going on my DD. Im going to keep the tires that are on inthere now in storage and switch them out in the winter. So the 275s are the best bet? Thanks for the quick response.
