Default MAF code due to CAI???

I recently picked up a 95 GT vert project car. The EEC is throwing the code 157 - MAF sensor below minimum voltage. It has a CAI kit on it and I believe the MAF is stock. I'm uncertain if the MAF needs to be upgraded due to the CAI or if the MAF sensor is going bad. I don't want to replace the MAF to find out it actually needs to be upgraded. As far as I can tell (so far), there are no other engine mods and the only exhaust mod I find is a pair Flowmasters out back.

Default RE: MAF code due to CAI???

if there are air leaks in the cai after maf to TB then that'll cause probs but you could have a bad maf or dirty one....first thing I'd do is look for air leaks on the tubing and then buy some MAF cleaner and clean it

Thanks, I'll give those a go first. The install of the CAI doesn't look all that clean so it wouldn't surprise me if there are gaps somewhere before the TB.

couldn't find any leaks, maybe I missed one...pulled the MAF out and cleaned the sensor as well as the plug connections. Couldn't find my meter so I couldn't test the voltage. Guess I'll have to take it to the parts store and have it tested. It's probably the sensor.
