i am not positive but i believe the cobra would win all. 20 roll might be the best spot for the GTO. i think the cobra would be pulling slowly the entire time, my opinion!
*edit, the reasoningbehind that is the GTO is quite heavy even though it has a hefty ose of power
I honestly can't say. I haven't been to the track. It's only 4 days old. But I'll tell you what. From a roll, I'd be careful. This thing pulls like a raped ape when you kick it in the ass at 25-30...
The Cobra is just bada$$. Too easy to make it quick to let to a GTO win, no offence to sideways 4.6 (GTO is tons better then any car I have), but I've seen a couple of them at the track, was NOT impressed. All struggled to get into the 13's. Cobras I see are running low 13's and FASTER.
I agree with blazer 4.3, from a 20 mph roll the GTO might stand a chance, but that's not a real drag race IMHO.
But we'll find out. At least we'll know it was driven properly. I've seen a few GTO's run 14.0, 13.9...Somewhere in there. But in fairness, those were '04's. I've yet to see an '05 at the track. Reading some of the other boards, people are running them 13.0 -12.8 in that area.
Like I said. I'm not going to argue times on the car until I'VE PERSONALLY driven it at the track.
Well, it's 50 more hp and 50 more ft lbs of torque. They've also got a different program in the computer. So who knows. I will say that the day the 04's were going 14.0 was the same day a guy with an 05 GT made a bunch of 15.0 passes.
I don't know. I'll let you guys know what it runs probably after this weekend.
