LOL...anyone driving a 03/04 cobra should be cocky...Hell just by simply adding a different pulley that would be enough to put you into the 11's on a good day with all your stock components....

Thats not a good reason to be cocky.. ..in fact anyone who defines themselves by the car they drive is pretty much a loser in my book, this crap is all just a hobby to me, no matter how fast my car is or what model car I own in the end it is just a car. Big deal 11's on a pretty much stock motor, I just helped build a 306 with a stock cam and iron GT40's that will go 11's in a 3200lb car, but I don't think that gives me or the owner of the car a reason to be cocky.
Well, not everyone can drive as good as you I guess....anyways it doesn't matter I don't care if you believe it or not, I was in my car racing it, maybe he had a bad shift in his [automatic].....I dunno maybe since it's an auto he cant his low 12's.

Don't take this as me arguing, but auto LS1's go faster with less money than a 6spd, all they need is a stall and minor bolt ons. I never said you did'nt beat that car, there are way too many varibles, I am sure you did beat him.
I dunno maybe its just the people I hang out with but I sure as hell would not be bragging about 11's. I also wouldn't be thinking that automatics are weak the fastest LS1's are automatics.
You can have all of that power and not hit low 12's. If you do nothing to the suspension or shifter or shift kit or stall. And you run on street tires. The ls1 will not run low 12's. or he may be a crap driver. A good driver can give you a half second. roughly
ok... to end this.. my cousin has had an 04 GTO... he sold it bought an 05 GTO... believe it or not his best friend has an 03 cobra.. so we took it to a dead area where there was no cars no cops nuthing but a big open road they raced, the cobra did take the win by about a car length i might add that my cousin has a stick and hes one hell of a driver both completely stock execpt for the new tires my cuzin has on his GTO now hes lookin to sell this for an 06 GTO LOL! he goes threw alot of cars... thats what i saw believe me or not both cars stock.. the cobra will win, no big deal
I seen 2 examples of fast cars with slow drivers that suck. I seen a 04 GTO 6 speed run a 14.96 in the 1/4. I also seen a 03/04 cobra run a 9.40 in the 1/8. The cobra made two passes and both were consistant. I'm thinking now it really wasn't a cobra, maybe a rebadged GT?

Hmmm.... Why would he look to sell an '05 GTO for an '06 GTO. Only difference is:
An extra cigarette lighter Lighted radio controls on the steering wheel Darkened rear tail lights Faster power seats

well i have to put something on this tread, couldnt read all the fricken pages but i raced the new gto last week at the track on the 8th and im in a all stock 05 5 speed gt and i smoked him, you guys will prob say it was the driver nut to the spectators, i got him
