Default Mach 1

I have an 05 mustang being built, but have started to notice the mach 1's.They look awesome and make a little more power to boot.I want to know what you mach 1 owners think of your cars? How do you like them? Is the interior comfy, how are the clutch and shifter?

Also If I do decide on a mach,is there a six speed that swaps in fairly eaisily? I am getting older so I dont want to do alot of fabrication(though I could) on my daily driver!

Default RE: Mach 1

I personally love my DSG Mach 1. I was also torn between the new GT or a Mach 1. True be known, if the GT was available at the time I probably would have bought one. They told me it would be late Feb. before I could receive one and I couldn't pass up this Mach. I bought it for $20,300 in Dec. with 15k miles.

Interior is very comfortable. The seats are much better than that of a 99-04 GT's. Please consider I have never riden in a new 05 GT and their seats could be just as comfortable.

Definitely get the five speed over the automatic. I think you will also choose that the 5 speed is perfect for the 3.55 gears and a 6 speed isn't needed. I changed the shifter to a MGW short throw and it was like a night and day difference.

The looks that people give you are constant and continuious. Not to mention the view from the drivers seat as you peer at the shaker hood assembly moving in front of you.

Plenty of power and a 6800 rpm redline. If you don't believe they are underrated from the factory hp numbers then go to the videos section and view me wax my friends 04 supercharged lightnings ass for him twice.

Thanks for the input Also the only automatic cars I own are strictly race cars with mucho h.p! The thing with the six speed is for a better top end,you know so I can keep pushing it I have decided to go with a 04 Azure Blue Mach,so now the search is on!

Good choice!! Azure blue would have been my first choice had I bought mine new. There is a black one for sell around here. Also my buddy told me he saw a 03 Torch red Mach with 3k miles for $21k.

As far as top end goes your covered because my top speed is 154 mph.....and I've done it.....twice! With the predator tuner I have I can remove the rev limiter but I see no point in that.

I second your good choice and hope you find the one you want. This one's for sale: http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/...ad.php?t=34930
Price is too high by most standards, but that's what haggling is for.

30,000+ miles on my (is there any other color?) black '03 Mach with no significant problems to report. I will keep driving it until it dies.
