Default Rearend went out

My rearend just went out. The axles walked out and destroyed the carrier and twisted the splines. I'm leaning toward the Ford Racing rearend P/N: M-4006-C373. It has 31 spline axles, traction lock, 3.73 gears and it's only about $800 from 50 resto. The problem is that it's backordered until mid August. Anyone know a cheaper alternative? I've thought of just building my old one but it's more expensive than buying the whole assembly from Ford. Anyone have any suggestions?
