I was going to finish the electric piece of my n20 install today, but was wondering if I need to worry about which wire I pick up power from (other than being ignition switched) when it comes to amps; I don't don't want to start blowing the fuse, when I turn the power on for the n20's solenoids...
Someone mentioned plugging into a pwr antennae lead, even though our cars don't have pwr antennae... make sense?

I don't know what's worse;
1. Not working on cars for 7-8 yrs
2. Not having a garage to keep lil s.hit you need
3. Living in a town where there is NO AUTO PARTS store...
Any way..... I tried finding a fuse to splice into, without using a splade, and no f'n luck.. I used my uhh, I forgot what it's called, you know one of those screwdriver looking things with a tip you pinch into wire to see if it has power or not (grounded, of course) and I couldn't get the thing to light up on specific wires going into the fuse box... so on to next option..
. I went to the local autozone in the next town over and they didn't have a simple spade !! They had a $6 "add a line" ...[:@]... It was night time b4 I got to finish, but I did get all the under hood wiring done, moved the solenoids TOGETHER, unlike before where they were seperate, and ran the wire from the microswitch to the underdash...
What's left? The freakin connection the the fuese box or a wire on the back end. ...
I am going to Pep Boys tommorrow by my job to see if they have a simple splice thing vs. this $6 POS ... It looks like you have to plug in TWO fuses, as it has two holes and the instructions seem to ask you to do that.. I guess one for the original connection and one for the accessory you are connecting to it....wtf....
still at it ??? when it's all done you can test the selonoids by leaving the bottle off, the acr not running, arm the kit and step on the gas pedal... amke sure it seems almost floored b4 the selonoids open up. they are loud and unmistakable.
after that.... unhook the feedline from the nozzle and have someone slowly crack the bottle open (hold the braided line w/ a glove.. it'll be -500*) just let a little flow to purge the line of debris.
hook it up and go....... as long as the selonoids opened up... it'll work fine

Crap, it seems like forever... I just have no time... This coming wknd is out as well,.... so it'll sit for 2 more weeks, arghhhh... I am going to have to take a vacation day to just finish it up and go fill the bottle...
I am there already... I just have to hook up the power from the switch and I'm done. I went ahead and redid the underhood crap... the solenoids are together now, looks much better.
pics?
did u decide where to use the add-a-curcuit? central junction box (driver side footwell) fuse F2.20 is the convertible top switch. Thats what i used, there may even be a 15amp fuse in it now. im a ford tech so if u need any other wiring diagram i cant get every shop manual online, just ask me ill help ya out.
