Default Changing Head Gasket

Hey all, I have a friend who has a 96 GT and she has a blown head gasket. I was curious what I was getting into if I decided to fix it for her. (assuming that nothing is warped.) Is it hard? I have a lot of experience when it comes topushrod enginesbut have never opened upa modular motor. On a 5.0 it takes maybe a couple hours to change a head gasket, how about on a mod motor? Any help or comments are welcomed. Thanks...

The worst part(which isnt as bad as some may think) is the timing stuff. Depending on the side, it may be tough to get the manifold off the head unless you just leave it on and pull it with the head.

not much difference from a 5.0 but the timing can be a PITA id go ahead and do both heads.

^^^ I agree. Might as well do both sides while your at it. Make sure you use new head bolts.

That's what I was wondering about was the timing and the cams. They use the torque to yield bolts on the mod motors too? great, well, I think I might tackle it and if I have any questions I will let you guys know.
