currently, i have 2 tw0-chamber mufflers on my '66 stang.  it sounds excellent but i was wondering if changing my 2 inch tips would make any sound difference?  or should i get 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 inch tips comin out the back to look better?

Bigger=Better in this case, 2.5 is the tops for a 60s stang because emphasis was not on the look of the exhaust, but rather the whole car.  Newer stangs look good with 3'' because they have cutouts in the bumper, or it just flows well.  It wont change the sound that much, but if you get a K&N air filter it will.  And make sure the tips are on the side behind the wheels if you can, IMO it looks dumb closer together.
