Very interesting stuff, and I'll be happy to read it. However, don't go blowing this up to more than it is; the APS is just saying that it has members who don't necessarily think that man is the primary cause of global warming.

Seriously, I think you are more of an extremist over this than I am. If science says "No man doesn't cause it" then great, I'll believe them. I simply think that in these cases it is best to listen to real experts.

If I seem to be an extremist about it, it is because the consequences of buying off on the whole notion is so detremental (sp?) to our nation.

This is a myth that needs to be blown out of the water.

I watched Gore's movie at school and my parents believed it was just a bs movie, but I was convinced by my teachers that this was a real, for sure problem. I believed that for a couple years before I started hearing more that scientists can't find how man would be increasing global warming or have any data that shows a comparable trend.

Makes me sick if we find out all that movie was for was to give Al Gore money and publicity. I hope to hear more about scientist's discoveries on this.

It just doesn't add up to me that 100-something years of humans being industrialized and polluting the atmosphere could damage the atmosphere which protects us from radiation, asteroids, etc.

In order for me to admit that man made global warming is crap, I would have first had to say that it was man made. Which I never have and never will. I remember back in school we studied about an ice age, and the next chapter was about how the ice melted. There were no cars or factories back then and we obviously had a big climate change. Was that from the camp fires the cavemen had burning?

the biggest greenhouse gas is H2O, it makes up 95% of greenhouse gases, while carbon-based substances make up less than 5% of GHG's, now is this enough to make a big enough impact on the atmosphere and climate? who knows? all i know is that i want more efficient cars so we can stop paying out the ass for gas.

and its always good to look to the future, scaring people into environmental-friendliness hurts no one, real issue or not
