Default Finally took the GT500 to the track.OOPS!

Hoping to post up the videos,Only 2 soon.Plan to get flamed.I hope it gives some of you guys a little something to chuckle about.I was laughing.First run,1/8 mile 9.27 at almost 85 mph.2.67 60 ft.LOL!first time I've been at the track in about 2 years, also with a 6 speed.5 foot dry burn out,T/C off and 2500 rpm dump and bog.OOPS!
Second run is better,Woulda been much better but I let off as i dialed in a 9 flat and reeled in the track street champ in his cavalier pretty hard and let off 4 cars out of the lights,Still broke out.2.26 60 foot,GT500's don't hook well with only 2 track runs under your belt,But obviously my 20ft burnout before hand and better launch technique was paying off.8.69 at 85 mph.It was 90 degrees and humid as hell.Other notables were 5.7 auto GTO's running 8.90's at 7? mph. Also a guy with a freakin' hooked up heads and cam and nitrous SRT8 jeep. His best was a 7.40.That beotch moves hard in the first 1/8 but he said he does get reeled in in the 1/4.Nice Jeep,Think I also have one of his runs on vid.He was spinning?,Damn! Our track is greasy.
A little more track time and I'm thinking low 8's no prob.Maybe 7.90's on a cold nite with some good traction and a real 60 ft.

You can never have too much power, just not enough traction.

no one runs great times when they first start...practice makes all the difference.
