Default how to add horsepower?

ok out of all my friends me and my buddy with nissan 300ZX have the fastest car, but his car rapes mine it has twin turbo's and ****..

i just have a stock 6er, i wish i had a V8, but maybe you guys can change my mind, whats the best way to add HP to a 6 banger? i know supercharger would prolly be the way to go, but at this time i dont have that money

im 19 i would LOVE to beat this guy cause everyone thinks hes hot **** cause his car is fast. he is the **** dont get me wrong hes my buddy, but still i want my car to be the ass kicker.

i have a 2002 stang...

any suggestions would be greatly apriciated

i will eventually save up for a supercharger, or i will buy a saleen if i can get the financing for it, i bought my car myself no help from parents so it was tough for me to get the mustang as it is.

To put it simply, if he has twin turbos, then you'll need at least the same to beat him. There are a lot of ways to make power, none of them cheap, and even the cheapest routes are not going to have you beating him. In short, really think about this and how bad you want your car. I was 20 when I got my 5.0, so I was pretty much your age. Unlike our die hard sixer fans, I deemed the investement needed to make a sixer fast a frugal one at best, not to mention that route didn't fit my budget at the time, so I picked to go to a V8. My insurance went down, and now, I'm still under 25, it's about half the price yearly of what my V6 was. Yes my MPG did drop, however I went from a gas sipping 98 to a gas loving 5.0 (might need to tune the damn thing, it does seem to run a little rich), however stock V8s do fairly well MPG wise.

In short, see how much money you have, if you can only spen small sums here or there and you don't see your financial situation improving, them maybe moding the sixer won't be the best way a to go and you might want to consider trading it in for something that meets your taste better stock for stock. If you do have larger sums of money to play with, then moding the sixer would be a viable option.

Not really need twins its stock twins the 300 is anyway.

He could do a 4.2 and 18psi s/c and run 11's

How to add power.....start with a muscle car (V8) add 1 teaspoon nitrous, and 2.6L of Kenne Bell....that's how you add power.

yes because a V8 is the only way to make power....

to the OP, cheapest way is get yourself a T-lok, gears, tuner, and a shot of nitrous.

Well it's hard enough trying to get a GT mustang to go fast considering its a much better base for modifications then a V6, I really don't know why you would waste your money. VCS_SSSTANG your h/p readings are weak dude, you know a stock gt is 260/310 right? Hahaha you dropped all that money trying to make you beater look nice, supercharged and all and your still not even close to stock GT numbers, I bet you'd get smoked by one fresh off the show room floor.....not to mention one with any kind of mods.....lol this is why I love going on the V6er forums tellin you fools to step your game up!

There is no need for this in this section. And maybe you should know what you are talking about before you speak again. Those numbers for the GT are at the flywheel, not at the wheels. Gt's will put down around 240 hp 260 tq to the wheels, Kyle has 255 hp 270 tq. Plus a V6 will weigh less than the V8. If you don't know that then take your ass and go home. noob.

Seriously, I'm getting sick of your posting. Misinformation and a loose tongue seem to lead to bad places. Especially for someone driving a Vert with only exhaust and gears.

You wanna step up. Name the time and the track. I'll bring a V6 Mustang for you.
