Default Cobalt SS/SC

The car had supercharged badges and the almighty performance decals on the sides.

He followed me onto the interstate and picked a fight. We "Went" three times. The first time, he was just cruising right next to me revving like crazy, I wasn't going to mess around but he annoyed me. From right at sixty I floored it and started walking away from him, I let off shortly thereafter when he never caught up. I don't know how far back he was, just know he wasn't next to me or in front of me.

The second time he got up next to me, I waited for him to go but he didn't, so I dropped it into third at about 60 mph. I heard him open it up for a second, I got about three cars up by 85 or so (I wasn't really watching the speedo) and kept gaining ground. I thought he let off, so I did too.

The third time he got up next to me and started jumping up and letting off. I waited for him to go, he got the jump and got about a car ahead of me. I dropped it into third and instantly stopped his pulling, reeled him in and flew past him. Again, I thought he let off so I did too.

After that one I asked my passenger if the guy was letting off, he said he didn't think he was.

Was this a n/a Cobalt with the s/c badges and wing maybe? I was thoroughly unimpressed if this guy was actually trying. I thought my car (With me driving, driving skill FTL) and a s/c SS would at least be somewhat close.

I don't like to play on the street, and don't do it often at all (And for the record I never got above 85-90 on an empty interstate and slowed down quickly thereafter)...but call this the first kill for the new car

Umm...no. If you still had your 02 GT, then maybe it would have been what you thought as far as "how close jbabab".

Im not sure about your gearing but 60 is a dead spot on the ss/sc he was probably in third gear. Maybe a stock one 3 cars is a lot for 25 mph but hey maybe a bad gear for him

Stock GT??

I would expect you to win regardless but it would be decently close if they had an even start.... sounds like a bad gear pick on the Cobalts end but would have been a win regardless.

Good Kill.

You really never know, I had one of those things try and do a little fly by on me when I was driving in my mostly stock GTP. He got to my rear fender, and never made any ground past that. From what I've read, he should have had me easy, so who knows.
