its 250cc which I thought at first was not enough for the thrill factor but then after i rode it i changed my mind. 14.6xx 1/4ET In a few more years i may upgrade to a zx6 or cruiser. but for now the 65 - 70mpg is the best thing i could ever imagine.

thanks. I drive 50 miles a day to work too. i ended up car pooling with 3 other people so i drive one week a month.
as for the 636 comment, thats not going to get me 70mpg also i got this bike NEW zero miles. I was looking at a zzr600 but i didnt like the color and it only got 45mpg , was used , I just decided i would be happier with a purchase that was new and the color i want with the MPG i want , If i feel like going fast i will jump on my dads 750 Honda.

a 250? Really? Couldnt even get a 636 or something? And a 14 sec quarter mile? Youve got v6 mustangs running scared!
Are you kiddin'?
I'm scared!
On a serious note...
50 miles a day at $4+ a galon, the 250 doesn't sound too bad.
Also, no one said that you couldn't have a 1000cc for the week ends.

As someones first bike, that is plenty of power. All the guys out there buying a 750 or a 1000 are the ones wrecking and dumping it all the time. I've seen countless times where guys try and get the big boy bikes for their 1st and something bad always happens.
