As some of you may know, I work at autozone and myself anda couple of my fellow employees have gathered a good demographic on autozone customers. The most annoying customers are:
1. customer: I need spark plugs/ dist cap/ air filter/ radiator hose for a (ohh lets say '99 dodge intrepid)
Me: What size motor?
customer: I dunno, i think a v6.... or maybe a 4 cylinder
Me: (wow there are like 9 different motors for this car)
customer: comes back2 days later demandingdifferent plugs and something for free because"I have him" the wrong ones.
2. customer: I need spark plugs/ air filter/ push rod/ fuel filter/ battery (really) for a 350
me: what kind of 350
customer: chevrolet
me: ugh.... car... truck... '65 '95?
customer: doesent matter all 350's are the same.
me: is it carbor efi?
customer: doesent matter, all 350's are the same.
me: thinking....yes, im sure the air filter on your '69 c10 is the same part number as an'04 corvette
I still can't believe the number of peope who dont know what size motor they have!!!It's probably 70%. I cant believe that so many people have no ideaof the displacement/ pushrod/ soch /dohc/ ohv. It makes me wonder why some cars are popular these days and others are not. an example:My car hasa 225 hp v6 that gets 33 mpg through a (brand name) 5spd manual transmission, as opposed to the masses: my car came with gps and a built in Ipod hook up and dual climate controls!!! that doesent matter!!
3. people that come in and ask for a dist cap/rotor/wires for a car with cops!!!! and I have to convince them for 15mins why their car doesnt have any of those
are you as awesome as this autozoner?i wonder if hes gonna get fired?? the pizza delivery place fired the guy that protected himself. the autozone guy is also a fireman i believe it said.
