Default Motorcycle Insurance VS Car Insurance?

Does anyone know how the price of motorcycle insurance would be compared to... lets say.. a new edge GT or an s197 GT for a teen??
thanks in advance

Depends on the type of Bike buddy.

Dirtbike/Enduro- Cheap
Sports Bike/Crotch Rocket-Expensive
Cruiser/Chopper-Moderate

Insurance Companies know what people do on Crotch Rockets...Kill themselves...so they make the insurance premiums high to cash in.

yeah you like how they look, but the question is how far do you commute? for example i priced insurance on a busa it was about 4k the harley was 600$ big difference. then i checked out esurance the same limits on the same busa were 1200$ a yr huge difference.

i like the sport bikes to if i buy another sport bike it will be either a Buell 1125r, bmw k1200s or a triumph of some kind in that order

I think my dad's gf's son is expecting to pay like $4500 every six months on a 600 (he's 18 and lives in Rhode Island [check the map kiddies])

I know I've heard of busa quotes up to like 12 grand/yr.

In Florida motorcycle insurance is not required (not even on a financed bike) but "highly recommded" w/e that means. I have full coverage on my bike with the higher limits for something like50 bucks a month. But I'm an old fart at 31, plus get a discount for completing the Motorcycle Safety course and a mult-vehicle discount (stang is insured with same company).

here's the crash course:

clutch/shifter on left
throttle/clutch on right
kawi's pwn all
600cc is perfect size bike for everyone
liter+ bikes = overkill
500- bikes = boring

OK here's your license

Updated crash course

Gixxers pwn all
600cc is nice for your first bike, but a liter will do it faster, better and stronger
Wear gear always! that means lid, jacket, pants, boots, gloves( sweat washes off, road rash doesn't)
take the MSF course for sure.
don't be a squid!

Here's your advanced license
