Default Exhaust...

I see there is a lot of debate on X and H pipe...
I am getting ready to put a full exhaust on my 03 mustang GT, I am planing on going with the x pipe. What is your all opinions on what headers and muffler to go with...
I want it to sound intimidating but not TOO loud...

Do you live in a state where emissions testing is going to be a factor? If so, are you willing to exchange your exhaust out every year when you get an inspection? That is probably going to be a deciding factor in what answer will best suit your wants.

Depends on the state. In California, the smog nazi's have relented somewhat for new cars, we now don't have to get our new vehicles smogged for 7 years unless we transfer ownership, even then it's not required unless it's 5 years old. Starting at 7 years old, we have to get it checked every other year.

My hubby is Military so we aren't really sure where we could end up... and I really don't want to have to worry about changing my exhaust out. Plus starting next year the area where we live is starting to do emissions testing.

The last car I had was when I was in California and I had full exhaust and didn't have any problems passing emissions, just got pulled over a lot for it being too loud.
