The only reason you guys are so biased against 4 bangers is because of the applications that they are put in... and there only slow because there FWD... you take a miata / S2000 for example, then build those up with a supercharged / turbo , whatever, and be RWD.. your gonna be kickin ass in those featherweight cars
They sell a supercharger kit for the miata, if you get that.. and afew other little things your good for 350 whp in a featherweight car thats RWD, come on now

God, we all like the evo in that vid, and yes you can build 4 bangers into hp monsters, but how much money would you have to pay to get them to that level, and besides, were primarely drag race fans here and what wins drag races, HP? hell no, torque, and 4bangers equal **** for torque, thats just physics, deal with it! Yes, ther are 4 bangers runnig damn near 6's, but the fastes vehicles in ACCELERATION are V-8's, why do you keep arguing?
Cause he owns a 4 cyl and is trying to earn respect for his 4 Banger. Most 4 cyl ARE SLOW! very few people actually take the time and money to build a plain 4cyl usally its a EVO or WRX . Cause before those cars came around the 4cyl cars was mostly riced out Hondas. With enough money you can make a YUGO fast who cares right? Well Joe care's ! So Joe sitting at Home on his PC and his 145 HP Honda wants to get in his 2 cents in for his group on a Mustang forum cause he wants the Mustang peoples respect. So this is what i say go build your engine like the one i have seen at Beech bend raceway. It was a Honda running 9s in the 1/4 then Joe99 you can film it and start earning respect from the rest of the world. But lets face it your not ever gonna own a 9 sec anything so lets all be nice and never bash a 4 cyl or Mustang ever again

Listen, if you cant atleast understand my argument, then dotn call me the igorant one... Torque Wins races right? And the heavier the car, the more torque it takes to move it.. and V8's are like fuqin barges, they NEED all that torque to get moving.. if you build up a miata that weighs 2200 - 2300 pounds you dont need as much TQ to get moving, hence you are generally faster

Going back a few post, since it doesn't take as much tq to move a lightweight Miata, in your case, then what if you have the v8 in the Miata? What's your argument for that? Would it now be slower?
Or how about this idea... A stock CRX weighs 1800 - 1900 pounds right? and thats with everything from teh factory... If you strip it... takes out the back seats... take out the PS / AC , and completely strip the interior, then put a LS Vtec engine in it and turbo it... it'd weigh like nothing, and be extremely fast
