Not really hard? I swear. Lets think about how fast they were going when they got on it. Now lets think about how long they were racing for, and then lets throw in the fact that from a roll, the EVO got spanked by 4 cars (about) before they shut em down. About a 1000lbs less than an evo. On the dyno, Ill bet that camaro throws down about 900whp. Maybe a 1000 is a little too high, but think about it. This is common sense, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to understand that it takes more power to make a more heavy car accelerate FASTER than a lighter weight car.....duh. And oh...by the way...who are you to say "thats sad".....I swear....tasers should be legal to use on ingorent people.

And just for the kick in the nuts, the EVO made 600awhp at 30psi. In the last two races he ran between 35-36psi and a 55 shot of nitrous.

yah, thats not a 600 whp car in that form, even at 33 psi he was pulling hard on 600+ whp cars. Anybody know what that camaro runs at the track??
A friend of the shop said the evo was getting some more mods done including a GT42R turbo. Don't know why, gotta have some balls to mess with a good thing like that.
Maybe some classes on brake boosting 101 would help so these cars don't jump on him everytime. Seems like the camaro pulled intially and then they stayed even until they hit brakes, it was such a short pull though.

Also that is no common Evo it has a stroker kit, it's a 2.3 ltr engine.
With 35 lbs of boost even my fridge with tires can go fast.
I'm not bashing Evo's....they deserve respect for all rally acomplishments but
talking about V8 performance my 1989 GT cost me $2,500 plus $2,000 in mods and my best run was 12.8@118.8 Q/M on radials.
Where I live there are a couple 600+ hp Evo's and they hardly get into the 10 secs.
There will be no replacement for an all american V8, can't wait to see a 1,000 hp 4 cyl import street legal.

that prolly wont ever happen, because nobody ever wants to take the chance. I do know there are 500-600 whp b18c's out there. that is absolutely PLENTY to get the car going.

What are you, like six? Mustang cobras have always had a snake logo..... i dont remember seeing a viper in the 60's. Oh sorry, i forgot, you get all youre fictisious info from youre hot wheels, i guess in youre mind shopping carts are the ****. All motor vs all motor the Evo is better .....Hahahahahaha, that car is a 17 sec car without the turbo, for anyone who knows about turbos knows that 35 lbs is insane.
How come there is always an Evo wannabe-owner with a lousy honda trying to bash V8's?

I couldn't sit here and read all this crap, so I just wanted to chime in on the first few post. So..... all I can and want to say is Joe is a COMPLETE fool. How do you compare all this crap? Seriously turbo vs NOS are apparently not the same as far as power adders huh? And you're comparing old school with new age cars. With all due respect you need to learn more about power and cars. I give MAD PROPS to the old cars like the camaros, stangs, charger etc., look at what they run(13-14sec?) and new car times now(avg.13s). And that was over 30 years ago compared to now. In my opinion Joe must go!

Man.......not all new cars are running 13's and 14's.
If you meant new breed of performance cars maybe.
Cars like wrx's, Srt-4's, Evo's, Wrx STI, are impresive cars and noone complains about that but that's because of new technology. Any car that can pull 0-60 under 5.5 secs deserve respect.
Our cars have a big potential to become monsters easily.
Economy cars like civics arent nowhere near the 14 sec Q/M.
