Has anybody modified the shifter on manual V6?

With somthing like a short throw shifter?

Or even just a different shifter handle?

I don't really know anything about short throw shifters (benefits or ease of installation).

My short arms (and 5'6" height) don't always allow me to comfortably shift into 3rd or 5th gears.
Maybe just a different shifter handle (like in the link) would help.
