Default RE: who's better for manual trans...doug or brent?

Neither. One will work better on one car and the other on another.

I went with Bama for two reasons...

1. Bama will retune free for life for any changes you make if you buy your tuner from him. Brenspeed will only retune for free if you buy the mods from him unless he has changed.
2. Doug is less than 1 hour drive from me.

Im assuming you already have a Tuner (based on sig) so I dont see either being a factor for you. So order a $50 Tune File from both.
Dont waist your time on anything other than the Race Tune from Doug.

If you dont have a Tuner then buy it from Doug for the free lifetime tunes and then order a $50 tune file from Brent and compare.

PS Whats wrong with Dynospeed? I heard they do good work...

Sounds like brenspeed is getting overloaded.... too much demand must have made him raise his price. I've heard he has been ridicilously busy lately.. honestly with the higher cost for brenspeed I'd go with bama instead. Most people were recommending brenspeed for manuals but i doubt you'll feel a $25 difference.. but up to you.

Brents tunes have always been 75 for a single, Doug actually lowered his to 50 for a single around christmas time.....you would be happy with either

Default RE: who'

Actually, I just got the 3 tune re-fill for x-cal 3 from bama for $115. Been running the Brenspeed 93 octane tune for about a month, haven't really had a chance to drive w/ the 93 TQ from Bama yet but it is loaded in car. My initial impressions are that the 93 TQ from bama is much more 'linear' in it's power delivery, but not quite the kick up top.

Nothing at all wrong with the Brenspeed and it may indeed be faster at the track, just wanted to try some other stuff.

thanks guys. that is what i thought. no diff if you have the manual trans.

gene k...there is nothing wrong with dynospeed. joe does great work. you don't tune 3out of the last 5 beast of the streets and not no what your doing. if you've got f/i i would def recommend going to dynospeed. he can do amazing things on a dyno tune. i just want to get one from all the tuners around me.

and yes the 93 race is a must have. but the reason i want to go to with doug is for the torque tunes. want to start hitting the track and want a lil more at the lower rpms.

thanks for all the info guys. as usual ya'll always help.

I could have sworn Brent, Doug and Justin (VMP) all were $50 just after Christmas.
Maybe I was mistaken? At any rate it appearsBrent is $75 now andJustin is $59.
