I havent tried a ripper but im very pleased with my pro 5.0... i haven't missed my shift to third with it yet. Im sure either both are great.
my friend has a ripper in his 349........I HATE IT. my friend had a Steeda in his LX. he liked it........til he broke it. i got the Pro 5.0 and my friend who had the LX has a Pro 5.0 in his 331 GT now. i say get the Pro 5.0. i havent missed 3rd yet either........ive had it about 8-9 months now.....i love it. its nice, firm, precise shifts. its reassuring to hear the shifter hit the stops too, so, i say the Pro 5.0.

i have the tri-ax and its a verygood shifter, i would get that over the pro 5 0 thats just my 2 cents and 3rd is almost impossible to miss by i still manage here and there lol

**** I havent missed third in mine eitehr and I have been racing it over a year now so I dont know but maybe the shorter throws would be good to have, along with a rebuild of my damn tranny.

PRO 5.0 AND STEEDA TRI-AX ARE BOTH GOOD , I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE OTHERS THEY MAY BE GOOD TOO BUT I HAVE BOTH STEEDA & PRO 5.0, THE STEEDA IS A LITTLE STIFFER,MORE NOTCH LIKE . BOTH WILL HELP CLEAN UP THE SLOPINESS IN STOCK SHIFTERS. SO TAKE YOUR PICK, I THINK YOU WILL BE PLEASED. GOOD LUCK WITH IT.
i have the steeda and it is a great shifter,im sure the pro 5.0 is good so i cant a-b them but as far as hurst they suck
I dunno which Hurst you used but, my Billet Plus shifter is pretty damn nice. You have to be careful though, there are two models. The Hurst Competition Plus isnt as short or performance oriented as the Billet Plus. Its more of a comfort/more-performance-feeling-than-stock shifter. Competition Plus is Hursts standard shifter. Dunno why you would say Hurst sucks, the quality in mine is amazing. Same features as other top brand shifters as well. If you look at Hurst go for the Billet Plus. I look like this when I bang the gears ===> .

IMO i would say pro 5.0 all the way mainly since i have it and i haven't missed third yet either when racing. some say go steeda, some say pro 5.0 why not do both i ssaw somewhere u can buy a lil here and piece what u want together out of it. personally i would go with the bottom of a pro 5.0 and the handle of a steeda i have heard thats an awesome combo.

I have a pro 5.0 and i love it, i have missed third but it is because of my tranny the syncors are going in it, it was really bad before i got the pro 5.0, it made a lot of differance, its a firm shifter i recomed it, i dont know about other shifters the pro is the only one i have had. if i was you i would get the pro or the steeda its up to you.
