Default 360 in a 69 Mach I

Got a 360 engine thatwe're in the process of trying to drop in a 69 mach I. I know the 360 isnt the best motor and heavy as hell, but it was practically free. Right now we're trying to find a oil pan that will fit, as the engine orginally came out of a 76 f-150.It would be nice if it would fit the mustang too, but itis pretty rusty and needs to be replaced anyways.

Also any other info that would be helpful in putting this engine in the car is welcomed.

I'm not absolutely sure, but the 360 is an FE motor so it may use the same oil pan as a 390 or 428 out of a Mustang. That's where'd I'd start

Hate to tell you but the 360 was a truck only fe and its kinda sucky you might not like it.Id sell it and find a 429/460 for it.The only problem you might have with it is finding headers that fit and the stock manifolds might not work.

I know the 360 isnt that great, but it was a free running motor. It is just something so that we can drive car around and work on other things that need to be done to it. We thought that the motor was also pretty much the same as the 390 so if we ever decided to go that route later it be easier to do. We just wernt sure.

Almost every part from a 390 will fit on a 360 they are the same engine/family aside from bore and stroke. When looking for parts look for 390 mustang parts.
