Default drive without windshield trim

does the outer winshield trim do anything as far as help hold the windshield in? i have all the trim removed for paint, but need to drive it to the paint shop. i just got a new windshield, and don't want it coming off on the freeway.

i don't believe so. it holds out the water and some road noise. i'm missing the whole top trim because its freakin expensive and hard to find. if your driving pretty fast water drips from the mirror area.

yeah, i dont think it is for anything more than keeping water and noise out. the windshield is held in by this very sticky gooey stuff that is almost like tar.

Don't drive it to the paint hop if it's raining lol. And you might consider sticking masking tape over the area, just to keep road grime out of there.
