02 Kenne bell

I have a 02 gt with the intercooled 9psi kenne bell kit with the factory tune. Today i just purchased the 10psi pulley and was wondering if anyone would give me advice on if i should put the pulley on with kenne bells factory chip or have it tuned by someone else. and also how it would be on the stock internals which are rated 450rwhp and 529ehp.

I've heard KB's Chip Tunes are a little aggressive. I would have it tuned thru someone
else. You can have it tuned to run up to 12-13 psi, then run 10 psi on the street.

Well to me the tune seems very rich i can smell the gas on startup usually so wouldnt that mean it would be conservitive.

I have the same 9PSI-intkit on an 04GT with the canned tune.KB keeps the tune rich for engine safety, to prevent detonation. To get the most out of the KBI would suggest getting a custom tune.And I wouldnt run anything over 10psi until forged internals are added.

+1. If you want the most out of the kenne bell you should get it custom tuned. But the 10 psi pulley would work.

even with the kb tune you wouldnt suggest running 10psi? I wish i had the money get it tuned but since i spent it on the kb kit its a little difficult right now lol.

The 10psi pulley should work but I think your getting into risky territory. Keep in mind that the KB can make an addition 1-1.5psi @ 6000rpm. Its easier to save 600 for a tune then 5000 for engine work.

Yea i think your right i will just keep the 9psi on there now then when i have the money get it tuned with 10psi. I really cant afford building a motor at this point.
