Default Why me!

I have no idea what is future in store for me, but I will find out within the next day or 2.

So what do you think could be worse than passing a cop at 100mph+ on the highway? I'll give you a second to guess...

Passing your dad's car on the highway doing 100mph+ [&o]. I didn't know he was on the highway and it turns out he saw me fly past him (he was probably doing 75mph). I got home and he said I will be driving the family's extra car(it's aslow 4dr)for now until he can think of a punishment for me to learn my mistake or pay for possibly getting caught by a cop and having my car possibly impounded. I was going about 110mph and do this from time to time on the highway, not all the time. Turns out the 1 time I did it with no cops around my dad saw me. I don't know what the punishment could be but it could range fromforcing me to sell my car, telling me to leave the house, or making me pay for insurance under my nameonly, not under his name where I save $3k a year~ from him being nice. I'llupdate when I find out the punishment.

Because I have a fast car I can't be careful with. I live with them and they don't make me pay rent. So if they say the car has to go then I have to sell it unless I want to look for an apartment, pay rent, wash and dry my own clothes, pay for my meals, and have my car insurance under my name. I definitly won't be able to afford that unless I drop out of college and work full time and probably 2 jobs.

Yeah, what the guy below you said. NY and California are the bitchiest states to live in for insurance and other car ****, especially laws regarding traffic violation and car codes(exhaust, plates, emissions, etc).

I always heard Mass was the same way as Cali and NY etc. We have some ridiculous laws. Out tint violation is $250 and adds 1 point to our insurance. If you are under 18, you cannot drive with a passenger in your car other than a direct family member or adult over the age of 21. Also, now I think that even getting 1 ticket under the age of 18 causes you to lose your license to some period of time. I am not positive on this, but I have heard it many times.

Our insurance rates just recently became unregulated by the state. We are now offered a lot of different insurance services and will end up saving a bit more on our insurance.

Hopefully you are allowed to keep the Mach and you just smarten up a bit. Just talk to your dad into maybe keeping the car but not being allowed to drive it for so many months. Maybe you can just go through the steps as if you had actually been caught by the cops. Pay your dad a "ticket" fine and lose your driving privelages for a bit. I know that these sound harsh, but anything you keep your Mach.

Also, you could always tell him that you can get a tuner and put a speed limiter on your car. Maybe set the speed limiter for the street.

Just ideas to think about.

Good luck with the situation and hopefully you can stay with us.

Yeah, I am gonna try my best to see what I can do. Right now he has told me to test the market for what I can get for the car. I am pretty sure he wants me to sell it, but he doesn't want me to get screwed doing it. We'll see, he still hasn't made up his mind yet.
