Default will this fit

someone i know is selling some stock cobra rims that are no longer needed. the two fronts have the oem goodyears, and the two backs which would take 275's have 315's squeezed on. i have a 2003 gt, will the 315's fit with no problem? i know that 315's on 10.5' rims are okay and dont rub but figured they might be offset a little as opposed to the stock 17x9's. is the gt wheel well the same size as the cobra or are there differences since it has i.r.s?

Default RE: will this fit

315's will fit on an '03, but agree they should be on a 10.5' rim. The wheel well is the same, but IRScan havesome clearance issues on 10.5's that your car will not. I would put a pair of 275/35's on them and 'do the deal'

Default RE: will this fit

im gunna have to see these in person the information i saw was in a text message so it might be wrong. i've heard of people putting 275s onto 8 inch rims, i guess thats not safe either? i figured putting a 315 on a 275 rim was not advised but okay. if the kid does have them improperly set up i'll tell him to take off the two d.r's and just give me 2 tires 4 rims, or not buy at all

-thanks
