Default 1995 Cobra Low Oil Pressure

Looking for a little help. My '95 Cobra's oil pressure gauge has been bouncing all over the place for the last few months. It will stay in the middle of the range for awhile, then for no apparent reason, drop to the "N" in normal and not budge. There doesn't seem to be a drop in performance when the gauge falls and none of the sounds coming from the engine seem out of the ordinary. Are these gauges prone to malfunctioning or is it the beginning of the end for this 5.0? It only has 80k on the odo. Thanks!

Default RE: 1995 Cobra Low Oil Pressure

I would replace my oil pressure sending unit. It worked on my LT-1 and is cheap enough that it will help you fix it or send you in the right direction if it doesnt.
