Default Avoid PMI?

Are there any ways to avoid PMI otehr than the 80/20, 80/10/10 loans or 20% down?

Nope. Anything over 80% will require a pmi. Its tax deductible so not such a bad thing.

Just pay as much as you can until you get it paid down to 80% and then they will take it off...

I've heard if you get your house appraisedat 20% more than what you paid for it they will drop it.
