Default exhaust question

Right now, my turbo motor is run through the stock 4-cylinder exhaust, which is no good. I'm going to replace it as soon as I figure out what to do.

My question is which option is better. For either, I won't have any catylitic converters, and single free-flowing muffler.

1.) 3 inch exhuast all the way out the back

2.) 3 inch exhaust to the muffler, splits into two 2 inch pipes going out either side. This option is cheaper, as I have a complete 5.0 exhaust sitting in my garage, and can use the tailpipes.

I figured without cats, option 2 would work fine, but does anyone else have any other input?

Either will work fine, except the 2" should be a 2.5" dual.

I would go 3", but it would look like a stock 2.3 N/A mustang

Single 3" is the best for flow.

On mine i've got a Y-Pipe off a THunderbird and it Spilts out to Two Cherrybomb Turbo Mufflers, Over the Axle to the 5.0 Tail Pipes. One of the Reason why people think Mine's 5.0 lol It sounds Great too!! (was on before Turbo Swap)

ive got duals and personally would rather have optimal flow with less weight which means single 3". its all your preference though, would you rather have sound/looks or do whats best for power and not care about the rest?

im not sure id do side exit, theres really not a whole lot of room under the car to rig that kind of exhaust and keep a lot of ground clearance. the muffler is going to have to be almost if not as far back as where you want your pipes to exit and that means inefficient exhaust flow and it will end up costing more than tail pipes are worth to rig up.

Actually a dilema. Having one exhaust bank I think splitting to a dual outlet is dumb, but I'm alla bout working with what you got, so alreadly having a back half is hard to argue. I run my turbo straight pipe with a turndown so what am I talking about
