Default Any UTI students/alumni here?

I just started at UTI this week andI absolutely love it. I have learned so much in just my first week and I can't wait to learn more. I was just wondering if anyone else around here is going or went to UTI and how they liked it.

There's a school for urinary tract infections? Weird. I'm not an alumni of that...but, good luck.

Most of the UTI graduates can't afford the internet, so don't expect too many responses.

You just signed up for $35k oil change school. Most of the guys that graduate there end up chuckin filters at Wal-mart. I used to have to fire UTI guys all the time when I was building diesel dragsters. They teach you how to work in a dealer, nothing else, and then they teach sooooooo slooooooow that you have no way to be competitive.

Thats really from any tech school. You get what you put into it. I mean I start at uti August 25th. But I have been working in a dealer for the past year as an apprentice tech. Nothing is better then hands on experience. They have 4 uti grads and they are all great techs.

Thank you St4ng07. You get what you put in, ryansquick probably got the guys that don't give a **** and are only there to hook up their honda. I am def. not there to just learn how to hook up a car, like i said, i have learned a lot in the first week and I don't care what the nay sayers say, I love it here. I read my books every night and i can't wait to get to class every day, so keep it up with the negativity, it just drives me to succeed more and more. Which one are you going to St4ng07.

THats really good. I mean 75% of the guys that go there did bad in highschool and decided to go there cause you can. They really have no passion for the career. Thats how it really is for anything. I am going to the Glendale Heights campus. Kinda sucks that I have to quit my job since I have to move to that area. I really enjoy working at ford. Learned so much and have gained so much experience there. What campus are you going too?

I am going to the exton(philly), pa campus. I started in June because they told me that this would be a more mature class, with guys who usually don't come right out of high school. I am 21, so I don't have time to screw around with those guys. I am also working in a small shop to get my feet wet. It's fun, you'll love it just as much as i do.

I have a really good friend that graduated from there, and he is one of the few people that I will allow to touch my car. But even then, he won't ATTEMPT half of the things that I do without a second thought. It's not that he doesn't know what he's doing or anything, hell he does things I won't attempt, I stay away from installing gears and rebuilding trannies, he's good at it.

But he told me that he felt that he didn't get what he expected out of the program. He went through the Ford program and did extremely well, but he works for Caterpillar, since UTI did nothing to help him find a job.
