Default Buying a S/C

Hello all,
I'm trying to make the decision on a Supercharger. I have tried to use search, but it seems to be only working for author names. Anyway, I would like to buy a charger from an outfit like Breenspeed who can assist with tunes / tech advice. The only problem is they only sell Saleen, Procharger, and Paxton. I notice lots of ya run Whipple, and Kenne Bell. Where are you getting em? Who is helping with tunes? Best price? I am really only interested in mail order, unless the shop is located in Las Vegas.
Thanks in advance,
Ty

You have to order the Kenne Bell supercharger directly from Kenne Bell, or find anauthorizedKenne Bell installer.I installed the kit myself so I had it mailed directly to my house. Also, Kenne Bell SC is one of the most difficult to install.

Make sure this is the route you really want to go. Recently, I have given thoughts to returning my 07 GT to stock. The SC route will definitely put a smile on your face everytime you drive the car, don't get me wrong, but, it is a never ending money pit finding the next week link in your drivetrain.

Good info doogy, what about the tune on the KB? Also sent by KB? RETMSG also good info, but I have another vehicle should mine fail. I do however appreciate the insight.

Anyone wanna speak up for the Whipple? Is Ford the only route?

I also have other vehicles to drive. I bought my GT in August of 06, and it only has 6300 miles on it. I was only trying to let you know what to expect. I have nearly $7000.00 wrapped up in the car on top of the purchase price, and can expect to spend an additional $4000.00 just to make it competitive with other GTs with similar mods.

Yeah, Modding your car is a addiction. Once you start you can't stop. I had almost 18000.00 in engine, interior mods, rims an tires in my 06. Now I got a 05 Roush with stock engine and I am putting on a Kenne Bell next week with stage three clutch, aluminum flywheel and one piece drive shaft. I am also beefing up the chassy to handle 500 rwhp. It never ends. You gotta pay if you want to play!

Definitely don't buy the whipple from ford. Lethalpeformance.com has much better deals and if you contact Jared (boosaddict on the forums), he may still be offering special pricing for mustang forums members. You'd have to check with him, but it's worth it to ask. His prices combined with what comes with the whipple HO make it the most attractive supercharger package out there in my opinion.

Hi fireguyty, the tune israther conservative, utilizing all of Fords engine safeguards. For an extra $100 they will include a shootout calibration, but 100 octane has to be used. You give them your PCM code and KB will send you a Xcalibrator flash tool from SCT with the SC kit. Also if you are in the military they will give you 10% off. I saved more than $400 back in January. I do not know if the discount is still available.

I want to thank you guys for your responses. After looking into the info you all provided I believe I'll go with Brenspeed's Saleen.
Thanks much!
