I just took mine to the dealer - they gave me a free coupon when I bought my rig.

They used a motorcraft blend.

I'm probably going to start synthetic soon.

Oil and what kind to use... always a favorite subject of mine. After break in I plan on runnning Amsoil 0W30 Full Synthetic. I hear good things about Royal Purple as well.

As far as break in procedures... check this out Break in Secrets

I have used these methods on every vehicle I've bought from new... I can say with certainty that my '03 Mini Cooper S ran stronger when it was stock than other friends Mini's I've driven that followed traditional break in procedures. After I had my Alta 15% reduction pulley on the SC installed by the Mini God Randy Webb of Webb Motorsports out of Colorado, he took it for a good test spin to make sure everything went right with the install. My mini must have been the 400th pulley installed by the man, and he swore it felt like I already had done exaust and chip tuning as well already.

Anyhow... that's my 2 cents!

and it's good to join you all...this is my first post on Mustang Forums. I know I'm in good company!
