Default Headers?

I have a different exhaust from most but maybe anyone can help me anyways. I have a slight rasp in 3rd gear which I personally think is so quiet compared to my original setup with the offroad h pipe, but was curious if I replaced my stock manifolds with some shorty headers if that would help it smooth out or maybe an offroad pro-chamber compared to that of my offroad h-pipe. Just curious about any thoughts.

Default RE: Headers?

Do you have any sound clips that might show us more? Usually, an offroad x is described as raspy more so than an H. I generally think of an H to have that throaty rumble sound - more along the lines of the classic mustang sound. I d0n't think shorty headers will fix what you are looking to change, but I may be wrong. What exhaust are you running? Stil the one in the sig?

Default RE: Headers?

Yeah Im running the same set up. It sounds smooth but maybe its just this engine compared to that of the past mustangs. Because his car is smooth throughout all the gears, where mine no matter what exhaust I have had on it is smooth then a a little raspy for a few rpms then back to smooth. So who knows.

Default RE: Headers?

Throw some LT's on and it will be too loud to hear the rasp
