Default texturize/paint louver brackets?

how do I go about texturizing/weather proofing and painting my rear window louver brackets?

I will have to take the rear louver off during the winter for obvious reasons (snow build up,freezing temps, visibility issues) and leaving the brackets on will be a driving hazard for other drivers on sunny days (reflecting light into their eyes lol) not to mention it looks ridiculous-
they are silver(metal) in color and about 2/4 inches,6 of them total 2 on each corner.

at least with it being black it won't look as stupid nor will I get pulled over when the cop behind me is blinded lol.

I am thinking, sanding it down slightly then applying something like brake caliper paint?

Default RE: texturize/paint louver brackets?

actually,I have a better idea ( I figure anyways)-

how much do you all think it would cost to 'color match' these louver brackets so that they match the color of my car? clear coat and all? that way they won't be such an eye sore and will look alot better then my original idea...(with the louver off) rear window is 20% tint.
