it was a 2006 ls2 gto w/ full exhaust + tq converter (automatic)
I have full exhaust, 5-speed, and a tune (300hp/320tq on a MD)
I was happy wish I took a vid haha, but expected him to get a few car lengths on me at least...guess they arent as fast as I thought!

The difference between the auto and manual GTO's is like night and day. My brother has an '04 and before he got the six speed that he currently owns, we test drove an automatic and I was underwhelmed to say the least. The '04 with the LS1 and six speed is a good race against our car, once they hit fourth they pull really hard on us, but before that its Mach 1 ftw. The LS2 GTO's are comparable to Terminators stock for stock when they have a six speed. I won't be caught running an LS2 GTO with a six speed. Good kill none the less.
so an 03-04 mach 1 is quicker than an 06 gto 0-60 and 1/4 mile? I know this 06 gto has 400 hp , but i thought the mach 1 was soo quick it would be tough to beat the gtoeven top end.
Based on the quarter mile databases at mach1registry and ls1gto, stock for stock mach 1 vs ls2 GTO 6spd should be a drivers race at the track. From a roll, LS2 hands down. Such a big power advantage there.

The two LS2 GTOs I have ran at the track I beat, but only because I had a better 60' and beat them out of the hole, and they were playing gradual catch-up the entire track. beat one by about a car length, and the other by about 2- from a roll I could def see one pull on a stock mach 1. Now LS1 GTOs lol...they are a different story
