Default part yard run

Going to pic-a-part tomorrow to get seats and sway bars. Which Mustang-compatible Ford comes with the heaviest sway bars? And don't all Ford bucket seats have the same tracks? Maybe I'll also get a k member brace if I can find one. Any other suggestions for good cheap upgrades?

T-bird seats and sway bars. Of the fox body era. I have read the 94 new mustang will fit.

Ok, that's what I thought. This pic-a-part has 1800 cars at it, so I'm going to scout out turbocoupes and svos to see if I can come back for an engine sometime. Just about to leave now.

Score! I found a nice unmolested, unwrecked, unsalvaged (yet) 1987 Gray Turbocoupe with Ford replacement seats (had the sticker on them still). I pulled the seats and I also pulled the rear sway bar, and would have taken the front sway bar except for a huge puddle of coolant and oil. That was the most special Ford there, just Mark V-VIII Lincolns and 5.0s etc. While I was pulling parts, someone asked if I wanted the turbo. I said that I would want the whole engine but didn't have a cherry picker. So they harvested the turbo and manifold (thus the puddle) for a 91 Mustang 2.3 turbo build. I mentioned the forum and they said that they have been on the forum before for SVO tech info etc, but had never registered. Small world. Here are some pics for you:

I didn't take the rails, just the seats themselves. I don't care about power seats, just the power lumbar, which is only power and ground anyway. The whole lot was $43 including hardware. And the guy who was parting out a TC wanted $50 for the sway bar and $100 per seat. So I got an ncredible deal compared to that. And all that was wrong with the car when they junked it, was a bad fuel pump. Not a scratch on it.

I asked about buying the whole car, but you can only buy cars there in parts [:@]. I'm sure it would have run if it had a good fuel pump, or whatever little thing was wrong with it. Everything looked really solid. The only turbo 2.3s there were the turbocoupe and a Merkur. Just got a paycheck today, if I can obtain a cherry picker and use my sister's truck I may have a new engine next week maybe. 4 cyl. engine- $147 at pick-a-part indy.

I wanted to get Mach 1/similar seats, but the closest thing was a BADLY wrecked 04 that looked like a pretzel almost, and of course the seats were crap. And a few Mark VII's and Mark VIII's with ripped leather. So I went for the turbocoupe seats.

Yeah other than pic-a-part and pull-a-part (not affiliated), a "big" junk yard might have 200-500 cars here. And most will be full of basically cars of scrap metal quality. I used to go to junk yards with my dad until I realized that around here only 1/10 junk cars has anything you want.
