I got the car together tonight. I put the battery in. I turn the key. NURR NURR NURR NURR NURR. Car cranks, but tis it. I checked cam timing. Spot on. The coil is getting juice, and the distributer is putting spark out. I get a nice arc when I ground the plug wires. No backfiring, no hitting at all though.
I'm going to actually check the spark plugs tomorrow. First time. Stupid, I know. But I'm going to check, and replace tomorrow. That and make sure the spark timing is on. Is there any other suggestions as to what to check?

Spark timing is very close. Not really dead on, but close enough it should backfire at least. I pulled the plugs, they look fine. It's getting fuel (I sprayed starting fluid right into the freaking throttle body). I'm going to triple check cam timing tonight when I get home.
Any other suggestions? The loom (not trying to sound arrogant) is perfect. I'm going to throw a compression gauge on it tonight, the cylinders and pistons are fine, but I wasn't as sure about the valves.
Wiring is 100% correct. I sat with a 88 TC factory service manual, and a 91 mustang one, and double checked every line. Computer is pinned properly.
I got home from work tonight, and with the little day light left, checked cam timing...
Oh *$*%. Someone had marked a cam tooth white. I thought that was the timing mark. Not even close. Cam timing was at least 90 degrees off. So I fixed that. Went to crank, battery is toast, so i'm going to borrow a charger tomorrow to try with. I have a sinking suspision the fuel injectors aren't firing either, despite the rail getting fuel pressure, but I'll see if it starts tomorrow with fluid first.
No good. I tried cranking it, and the car still won't start. However, upon pulling the plugs, I couldn't smell any gas...hmmm. I don't have someone around right now to spray starting fluid while I crank, but I think the fuel injectors are stuck. Any suggestions as to how to clean them?
