4 Cylinders get better gas milage, are more reliable, are cheaper to build up ( you only need one of everything, not two like if you had two cylinder banks ) and you can get a turbo setup for 2 grand
Fully built 4G63 Mitsu motor w/ 60-1 turbo = 600whp @ 30psi $7000 03 4.6 Ford Cobra motor w 2 60-1s=1000+whp @ 20psi $8000 ....hmmmm.... and reliability? ...hmmmm.... ...I think you need to shut up....again....perhaps...maybe

Yeah we may need two of everything, but it's all half the price of import stuff, so it evens out.. I hate imports with a passion, not the cars, but the mentality of the drivers. Maybe it's just because I am still in high school and they all have something to prove. A guy I know has a civic, 2002, fully ported and polished head ($420), Full Exhaust ($800), Drag tires ($500), 75HP Nitrous Shot ($400), and weight reduction ($free/spare) He swore up and down that his Civic was the fastest thing in our school parking lot, and we really doubted it!.. My brother had a 75mm MAF ($140), K&N ($55), and BFG Drag Radials ($340) .. The civic still lost by .4 seconds to my bro's 88 5.0 , and it was sooo great to listen to all the excuses fly when back in the staging lanes..
Not to say that all import enthusiasts are that way, just how it is here in So Cal, and is the reason for my attitude.
poor attitude at that. you can use your prejudices with any group. and usually when you do have a prejudice about a group, you're like a prejudice of a different group (for example you could be called a "redneck domestic guy").
bottom line: they all have pros and cons. neither are flawless.
side note i just bought a 3.0L V6 turbo that hits about 320whp ~ 365hp crank ;) $6k for the whole car. import power biatch! LOL
Cobras are played out? Did you get your schooling from Universal Studios...perhaps? My grandma drives a protege, they are supreme race cars . The reason you saw nine cobras at the track is because they BELONG at the track.....unlike your grocery getter....maybe......you should shut up again. The reason proteges aren't a "dime a dozen" at the track is because senior citizens have a hard time controlling all the power they put out, lol.

Limited edition SVT Cobras are a dime a dozen? You should be held down while someone rams you repeatedly in the balls with a 9 iron.
Funny as hell

I dont think there is a more reliable motor than the 5.0 we find motors with 100,000 miles throw on a 250 shot on a bone stock motor and they run low 11's all day that is what i call reliable!!!!!!!!Do that to your 4 cylinder see what happens BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM I dont know where you come up with all these FUN FACTS but you should STOP TALKIN

Your a serious N00b if you think you can find a 100K 5.0 Motor and without even touching it in any way, put on a 250 shot on a completely bone stock 5.0 motor, and call it reliable
Hell that camaro was running a 300 shot, and it was built for it

Ive been doing it since i was 18 come on over I'll show ya 11.4 with with a dual stage 250 shot bone stock motor with gt 40 heads and exhaust 104,000 mile short block, Just cause the block splits in half once in while doesnt mean its not reliable
