I found a tire calculator that showed a 225/60 15 which is stock for my car was equal to a 235/40 18 on the rpm/revs.
I bought just 2 of the 235/40 18 and put them on the back to check fitment and seem to be close on the torque arm on top.
Now I'm contemplating putting 275/35 18 on the back to have the staggered look..It shows about a 1/4 inch difference in width from the 235/40 18 on the tire calculator...
What is the biggest anybody has put on a 18 x9 rim on the back of a fox body without any rubbing issues?

Look back in this section a few weeks and this subject came up. You will see that someone installed 10's (I think) and was working fine. You may find some info there as well as possibly PM that guy and find out specs.
I would keep going back as you will find more posts on the subject as well that may be of some help too.

one of my friends has fr500 on his 90 lx and he has staggered rims in the back and the biggest tire he can put is a 275 in the rear with flipping the small shock around to fit
