Talk to Saleen HQ today

They told me all s281 are shipped, all 1,700 of them, thats s281 and s281sc combined. Each dealer is suppose to have 5 on the lots plus whatever orders were taken.The 2006 production will start in Sept. Any ? the HQ # is 949-597-4900. Good luck to all.

Are you saying that the S281SC are all shipped, still waiting for mine and my dealer still dosen't have a ship date. Find this hard to believe since the first SC's just came out like 2 weeks ago.

Pea head, tried that number a few times keep getting a voicemail, once i talk to someone i'll let you know, hopefully it's true. Ordered mine back in January getting a little anxious.

Just talked to Barbara at Saleen, she said they still have a ton of orders waiting to be built, so production continues.

I talked to the head of 'new cars' today at Saleen, and they are rolling forward. They will continue to do 05's til August, then production on 06's will start. No orders are in jeopardy, and everything is fine. Saleen has released around 700 cars so far this year, and will probably be able to crank out 1700 or so. Everyone who is waiting on a Saleen order is fine.

Birdie I should just talk to you, my dealer knows absolutely nothing. They tell me every week it is ready to ship getting tired of hearing this.

Smed, you should have your car in a couple weeks. They did have a couple of 'hang ups' with the sc's, but they are going out the door as we speak.

It looks like Saleen won't be putting out that many E cars in 05, maybe 15-20, maybe more. I am hoping to have mine by late June-early July. It looks like I should have it by then. As soon as my car goes into production (very soon), I will probably go down to Saleen headquarters and take a look at it being built. I have been waiting very patiently.
