Is this a pic of a car that already has this size wheel/tire combo? Those look like some serious meats under there!

I know a 305 on a 10' rim works fine on a Saleen, and it has over a 1.5' drop on rear. I have never seen 10.5's on an S197, but figure it will work. I am going 11's on my New Edge and going to run 315/30's and your car has more fender well room than my car. I think with the right off-set, you will be fine.

You need to do your research here and find someone who has this set-up and what the off-set and diameter of tireis. You may think about a 18' or 19' wheel as you will have more options for tire sizes and profiles as well as smaller overall diameter to aid in clearance especially since it is lowered.

The best way at this point, is to confirm clearance of YOUR car and you can determine if/how 10.5's will fit on your buddy's car.

Park your car going up a steep driveway at a 45° angle so the axle is heavily articulated. Measure clearance at all points where tire is close to fender, suspension components, exhaust etc. You will be able to see how much wider/taller a tire you can install on his car without rubbing.

BTW, your car is sharp

Good luck. Jazzer
