Default hooking up an amplified bass tube

I got an amplified bass tube for fathers day and wanted to hook it up in my '09 Corrola. Can I just wire it to a rear (back deck) speaker or do I have to wire it to the radio? If so how do I do it. I'm sorry but it came with no instructions and I don't want to pull the radio if I don't have to.

Default RE: hooking up an amplified bass tube

You are going to need a 3 primary wires and then the signal input wires.

You will need a 12V power and ground, a 12V switched power to turn the amp on, and an input signal.

You may be able to find a wire in the trunk that is12V switched power, but you are going to have to run a power wire from the battery. The negative goes to chassis ground. if your bass tube can handle speaker level inputs you can run those from the rear speaker.

Sorry, but I think you have a lot more work then expected.

exactly the same except you do not have to run wire from the amp to the speaker. IF it has a high level or speaker level then you can use the rear speakers as your signal source but you may have noise.
