In response to factory 18's for Cabinetman's GT/CS

For whatever reason, I am unable to post a 'reply' to this question. After several attempts, I am going this route to see if this works [&:]

You should get 12k or so out of a quite soft 180 UTQG rated tire.

I am running PS2's at a 220 UTQG and have gotten about 10k so far with about 15% life left. I am veryhappy with them and drive VERY hard in the twisties.Want to go stickier, soIam now going second set of rims with Summer/track tires and recommend the same thing.

THanks for the feedback. Would you also recommend the 255/45s as a good fit for the OEM 18x8.5s?

Yes, A 255/45 would fit nicely on an 8.5' rim, IMO.

Just confirm manufacturer approved fitment ofspecific tire you wantfor your wheel. Do some research onUTQG ratings and figure out what your budget can afford. The softer you go, the better the traction. Also, if you stay within 1/2' overall diameter tire, your speedo will remain pretty accurate. I went with 1/2' larger tire many years ago and was off about 5 MPH at 70.
