Default Want to lower the car..

I was going to heat up the front springs with the oxy acetalene at school, then my teacher conviced me not to by saying i cant cool them properly and theyll become brittle and break. I was going to buy eibach sportlines a month or two back but didnt, and im kind of looking at the ebay mustang springs for about 80$, anybody have experience with them? how low are they with 4 cylinders. And the only thing i have to do to be able to safley lower it is chop my downpipe 1.5" b/c stingers welder is sloppy (said himself) lol so what do you guys think... i know i need struts and shocks too but i dont want to do that yet..

Why do you need to cut the downpipe? Aren't you lowering the car all around? I wouldn't think the exhaust would matter.

The V8 lowering springs will work, but the ride will be much stiffer. This could be an advantage, depending on how you look at it.

And I would stay away from the ebay springs. FMS springs aren't too expensive.

the v8's wont make it lower.. they are supposed to drop a car 1.5-2" but the 4cyl weighs way less.. they will cancel out and the ride height will be almost stock..

The downpipe is way low and doesnt go up into the hump, it scraped right in the middle below the driveshaft, and ya its really low thats why i gotta have it raised and tucked up...
