So the previous owner painted the hoot flat black. It is a pain in the arse to keep clean. It seems everytime I wipe it with a microfiber towel it gets scratched more. Any ideas? Could a clear coat be put over it?

Repaint it back to stock and get the factory decal back on it.

it may be a pain sometimes but i get more complements about my hood than any other part of my car. i would never go back to the stock look esp the vinal if anything paint the stock stripe on.
