street strip, nothing beats the amount of parts, availibilty of a 5.0

Hate to say it man, but 2.3T are quick, but try and find parts for them.

i've got a 2.3T, but i'm lookin to UPGRADING to a 5.0 later down the road

The only difference in the N/A and 2,3 turbo is...

Cylinder head
Valves
Cam
Block
Higher nickel content
Oil drain back line
Pistons
Forged
Exhaust manifold
Turbo
Injectors
VAM
Computer

well i know the head sucks, computers no good 4 turbos... sorry i should have said just the block and crank. im going to put forged pistons & rods in either engine i build and im swaping heads out, and using a stand alone unit. already got a posi 8.8, bov, wastegate...

NEEDS:intercooler and piping, buy my stand alone, rods and pistons once i know if its needs a .0010 .0020or .0030 over...

using the n/a one is the smartest idea unless ur car is ur only means to get around. why buy a second block???its my opinion the blocks are made the same minus the oil outlet. so if the blocks are the same or real damn close why buy a second one??and get charged too much for it since its a tc motor.

Not true.

turbo blocks have a higher nickel content, and are thicker. The E8 block have thin walls which make them more pron to cracking which is BAD

ok on to my other idea!!! i could buy a fully dressed 1jz turbo engine, including the ecu, wiring harnessand tranny, for about the same amount of money as the 2.3t build. my buddy kenny owns the only s-13 240 with a 1jz in florida, so he can help me with it. any input on that?

The 2.3 turbo is a JY performance engine.

You can make these engines run on nothing but used parts into the 10's[&:]

I'll tell you right now the 2.3 turbo engine is the best engine (turbo) that responds to JY mods bottem line.

I have about $700 into my engine (+ 200 for a good turbo) and it pulls like a rapped ape at only 8 PSI. I'm scared to see what it will do with 23 PSI[&:]
