Default JBA header Cracked

Hi everyone i recently purchased my 99 Mustang gt, auto 138,000 miles for $3,800 and the guy told me it had an exhaust leak, but it never occured to me that the header would be cracked, well it turned out that the passanger side header (JBA shorty) is cracked at the flange wher it connects at the triangular shaped thingy, and we all know it can be a B!^@# to try and get that header off. I took it to a muffler shop and the guy couldnt even get the header out, but my thought is that guy is an idiot. so my question is does any one know where i can take it or if some one could give me some guidance to resolve my problem and wont cost an arm and a leg that would help a lot thanks, oh and im in whittier, (SOCAL)

if your in whittier and can take it of send it back to jba see if they'll help you out. if the headers are stainless they need to be tig welded most exhaust shops will just use a mig welder only ok if they change the wire and gas .

I would just egt it welded or take it by JBA. If they guy couldn't get them off it's cause he wee-todd-did.

the shorty headers aren't that bad to remove, if you have a jack, jackstand, and some basic tools you should be able to do it yourself

Both, it's been dyno proven that the H-pipe doesn't do anything for power above I believe 3500-4000RPM while the X does have like 1-2 hp advantage above that RPM until redline.

H wll be more burbly, X will be more raspy.
